Vážení přátelé,
uplynul už rok od chvíle, kdy jsem k Vám prostřednictvím prostřednictvím webu Fakulty filozofické Univerzity Pardubice promlouval u příležitosti právě započaté ruské agrese na Ukrajině.
Tento hrůzný konflikt stále trvá, denně plodí další a další odporná zvěrstva. Děkuji všem, kteří se rozhodli čelit zlu aktivní pomocí válečným obětem; všem, kteří v této činnosti nepolevují – ať jde o práci našich studentů a zaměstnanců v Krajském asistenčním centru, finanční příspěvky či výuku češtiny pro Ukrajince, která na FF UPCE stále pokračuje, těší se značnému zájmu a do dnešních dnů jí prošly už stovky posluchačů.
Prosím, držme i nadále při sobě, buďme důslední v odmítání „argumentů“, které relativizují nesmazatelnou dějinnou vinu ruského agresora, a podporujme ty, jejichž životy válka obrátila naruby. Někteří, resp. některé z nich – současné studentky FF UPCE – Vám teď posílají svůj osobní vzkaz:

Dear friends,
It has been a year since I last addressed you on the website of the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy at the University of Pardubice regarding the ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine. This terrible conflict persists, resulting in increasingly heinous atrocities on a daily basis. I would like to express my gratitude to all those who have decided to combat evil by actively aiding the victims of the war. Thank you to everyone who continues to persevere in this activity, whether through the work of our students and staff at the Regional Assistance Centre, financial contributions, or by teaching Czech to Ukrainians, which is still ongoing at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy at UPCE. This program has been favourably received by many and has already been attended by hundreds of students.
Let us continue to stand together and be resolute in rejecting any "arguments" that seek to downplay the indelible historical guilt of the Russian aggressor. Let us also support those whose lives have been turned upside down by the war. Some of them, our current faculty students wish to share a personal message with you.
