eng Sacral landscape of the Polná-Přibyslav and Pohled manor The foundation of churches in the Middle Ages was mainly closely connected with the presence of either an spiritual or a secular establishment which arose for various reasons, such as internal colonization of a uninhabited territory. Such a landscape was greatly influenced by the construction of sacred buildings such as monasteries, churches, chapels, the agony of God, etc., but it often happens that the building itself arose or disappeared, or was shaped under the influence of the surrounding landscape. We can show this on the example of the fifteen churches of the former manor of Polná-Přibyslav and Pohled, which was located the border of Bohemia and Moravia. We will follow the evolution of this landscape from the founding of the original medieval buildings, including a pair of Cistercian monasteries, which were often connected with ore mining, through numerous new Baroque buildings and reconstructions to the present day. The article is based on my magister thesis, which deals with the evolution of sacred architecture in the territory of this administrative unit. church; landscape; sacral architecture; cross; monastery
