Děti trpí zvláštní nemocí, tzv. indigovým syndromem, který způsobuje nevolnost, závratě a silné bolesti hlavy každému, kdo se k nim přiblíží. Setz v tomto díle vytváří montážní román, v němž mísí fakta a fikci. Myšlenku indigových dětí převzal od americké synestetičky Nancy Ann Tapeové. Svou hrou s fikcí a fragmenty buduje napětí, které není nikdy zcela vyřešeno. Téma indigových dětí je přitom dovedeno prakticky ad absurdum. Vytváří složitý děj odehrávající se v několika časových rovinách, v němž se jako svazující prvek objevuje postava učitele matematiky Clemense Setze, spisovatelova alter ega. Článek poukazuje na vztah mezi formou románu a jeho působením na čtenáře a přibližuje následující otázky: Jakou funkci plní specifická forma románu? Je forma románu pouze literárním prostředkem, který poukazuje na absurditu zápletky? Jak souvisí forma románu s absurditou zápletky?	Clemens J. eng	From form to absurdity. Reflections on Setz's novel "Indigo"	The plot of the novel ‘Indigo’, published in 2013, revolves around a group of fictional Indigo children who are looked after at a boarding school in the north of Styria. The children suffer from a strange disease, the Indigo Syndrome, which causes nausea, dizziness and severe headaches to anyone who gets too close to them. With this work, Setz creates a montage novel in which he mixes up fact and fiction. He took the idea of the Indigo children from the American "synaesthete" Nancy Ann Tape. Through his play with fiction and fragments, he builds a tension that is never quite resolved. In the process, the theme of the indigo children is practically taken ad absurdum. He creates a complex plot set on several time levels, in which the figure of the mathematics teacher Clemens Setz, an alter ego of the writer, appears as a binding element. The article points out the relationship between the form and effect of the novel and approaches the following questions: What is the function of the specific form of the novel? Is the form of the novel merely a literary device for pointing out the absurdity of the plot? How does the form of the novel connect with the absurdity of the plot?	Clemens J.
