The practice of prostitution had several unfavourable consequences in life of women. Prostitutes often have been infertile due to STD or some of them had experience with pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood. The main aim of this chapter is to describe the relationship between prostitution and motherhood in Czechia during the twentieth century. The chapter explores what birth control methods were used by prostitutes, cases of prostitutes and their strategies adopted to dealt with motherhood.
