eng She-Wolves and Children of the Night: Birth Control and Family Planning from the Perspective of Prostitutes in the Interwar Czechoslovakia This paper aims to answer the simple, yet significant question of what birth control methods were used by prostitutes in the interwar period. In this article, I want to examine the relationship between prostitution and motherhood in interwar Czechoslovakia. The second part of the paper focuses on the following questions: How did prostitutes plan motherhood? What was their relationship to the children and what happened with their children? How did society look at the parenting of prostitutes? The research design will be based on an analysis and the interpretations of medical, political, moral, and social discourse. The historical and archival records will be analysed by internal and external criticism. Prostitution; motherhood; Czechoslovakia; 1918-1938
