Besides taking care of the dying and ritual preparation of the death body for funeral, this included also practice of early burial, ie. burial the day or day after decease. At the turn of 18th century, with the development of medicine, was this practice in Holy Roman Empire, however, limited by series of restriction by the non-jewish authorities for danger of burying of people in coma who are seemingly death.
