eng 13th International Cultural Studies Conference & 2nd International Conference on Linguistics and Teaching/Learning English 'In/Outside the Frame' The conference was organized by the Department of English and American Studies of the University of Pardubice. Scholars from Czech and foreign universities came to Pardubice to present a wide range of contributions, to share their research findings and to discuss various issues related to the concept of ‘framing’. In two main sections, i.e. Literature and Cultural Studies, Teaching/Learning English and Linguistics, the participants analysed and discussed topics of interculturality and intercultural communication; categorization with regards to genre, fictionality, gender, or race; classroom discourse; student teachers; and corpora studies.
