eng	In/Outside the Frame -12th International Cultural Studies Conference & 1st International Conference on Linguistics and Teaching/Learning English	The event was organized by the Department of English and American Studies of the University of Pardubice. Scholars from various countries addressed the issue of ‘framing’ from several diverse perspectives. In the Literature and Cultural Studies panels, the participants analyzed the idea of border, liminality and categorization with regards to genre, fictionality, censorship as well as gender, race and identity. The speakers approached ‘frames’ not only as restrictive limitations, but also as traditional notions which are challenged and transgressed in literary and cultural discourses from different geographical locations and historical moments. The sessions on Teaching/Learning English and Linguistics were devoted to issues related to intercultural communication, classroom discourse and discipline, student teachers, learner corpora or pragmatic, morphological and syntactic features of particular text types.
