eng	Town Savings Bank in Lanškroun and its Position among Financial Elites of a Border Region	Representatives of Lanškroun founded a town savings bank for the support of the town´ s economy and for needs of inhabitants in the region in 1862. the mayor of the town was always the head of the bank, and the numer of officers gradually incerased. Initially, there was also an honorary function of protector of the savings bank werw used not only once. The services of the savings bank werw used not only by town inhabitants, but also by villagers from far away. Its influence crossed the land border towards Moravia. The savings bank focissed on petty depositors. An important part of its customer base was workers from the local state tobaco factory. It lent money to village authorities too. Its financial donations were set for town´ s outward appearance. After the end of the war of 1866 the savings bank gave an increased number of loans to the inhabitants in order to compensate for the consequences of war. This savings bank was not largely connected with the most successful enterpreneurs in the region.	Lanškroun;19th century
