eng	RST Relations in the Discourse of Newspaper Reports	The presentation is based on the preliminary results of a small-scale research focusing on coherence of British newspaper reports. Coherence will be looked at from the point of view Rhetorical Structure Theory. First, the presentation will offer statistical data concerning the occurrence of individual relations holding between elementary and more complex discourse units; second, the form of the identified discourse units will be commented upon; third, the relations will be interpreted in terms of the general principles governing the presentation of information in the given type of discourse.	newspaper reports, coherence, RST
