cze Spor o interpretaci prvního dodatku Ústavy USA v kontextu tzv. kulturní války Tématem pojednání jsou výklady dodatku k americké ústavě, tj, diskuse o vztahu mezi náboženstvím a státem, a to v kontextu tzv. kulturních válek. Jsou představeny tradiční interpretace dodatku i pojem kulturních válek. Po té je sledován vztah, jak jsou současné diskuse ovlivněny současnou kulturně-politickou atmosférou americké společnosti. Po představení konkrétních příkladů je konstatováno, že jsme svědky radikálního testování hypotézy o "trvalé udržitelnosti" aplikace ideje separace církve a státu a náboženské svobody. eng First Amendment Controversy in the Context of the So-Called Culture Wars in the U. S. The lecture deals with the current discusions on the church-state relationship in the U. S. After introducing some legal cases, main types of the First Amendment are described. The shift from the traditional interpretation based on "belief-action distinction" in the 1940s is mentioned and the separationist and accomodationist positions are compared. Aattention is paid to the context of the current discusions about the matter - the so called culture wars. Some problems with using this term are discussed. Then the argumentation of "both side of the barricade" is compared. Tha aim of the paper is not to be angaged in the controversy, but only to describe the situation. In the conclusion is said, that the controversy can bring some very important results for the American religious experiment, that can show, wheter the idea behind the Constitution is still sustainable.
