eng	Sports of the Aristocracy as Recorded in Their Diary Entries	The authors analysed the records dealing with sports in the noble diaries from the Czech Lands of the 17th and the first half of the 18th century. They prove the important role of physical activities for the lives of the early modern noblemen. They interprete it as specific social practice that consisted of 1) the activities with horse (horse riding, tournaments, so called Ringelrennen), 2) various noble exercitia (dancing, fencing, pike exercising) and 3) several other social entertainment (very popular jeu de la paume – forerunner of today´s tennis, skittles and later billiards).	nobility; early modern times; Czech lands; sport; diaries
