Fakulta filozofická Univerzity Pardubice vás zve na promítání filmu a následnou diskusi. Film i diskuse proběhnou v angličtině.

Film Black Hole přináší osobní svědectví ukrajinských umělců, kteří navzdory válce pokračují ve své tvorbě a každodenním životě.

Hosty na FF budou Madeleine Bongard (švýcarská umělkyně, režisérka a etnoložka) a Marianna Tanska (ukrajinská umělkyně a hudebnice)

Madeleine Bongard is a Swiss artist with degrees in Sociology and Ethnology from the University of Strasbourg, and in Ethnomusicology and Anthropology of Movement from the University of Paris Nanterre. Actress, author and theatre/film director, she founded the company Dyki Dushi in 2017 and has since developed an artistic practice at the intersection of performance, dramaturgical research, and the collection of testimonies. She has been working in Ukraine since 2016, in partnership with the Dakh Theatre, GogolFest, and the Lesia Ukrainka Theatre in Lviv — long before this country came to the attention of Europe. Between April 2022 and August 2024, she conducted over one hundred hours of one-on-one interviews across Ukraine, in cafés, parks, and theatres, giving rise to the docu-fiction film Black Hole. Shot in Ukrainian cities both east and west in the summer of 2024, the film gathers the voices of some thirty artists and is narrated by five women who continue to live and create in wartime. It does not document the front lines, but the interior life of a people under aggression: dignity maintained, creative work pursued against all odds, resilience as a daily act. Black Hole is conceived as a complete artistic event — screening, installation, and debate — designed to be presented in universities, cultural centres, and civic spaces across Europe. It speaks to those who believe that culture is a form of knowledge, and that art can transmit what the news cannot.
