Mgr. Lada Viková, Ph.D.
Lada Viková's research focuses on Roma families, especially from the Czech lands, who were affected by the Roma and Sinti Holocaust during the Second World War. Her research aims to find out why and how these families were persecuted during the Second World War, how they lived before the war, and how the survivors of these families, as well as the second and third generations, dealt with the consequences of racial persecution after the war. The allocated budget should enable her to proceed with negotiations for the publication of her research (monograph) based on her dissertation – the aim is to publish it in both Czech and English, as well as to publish an article in English (proofreading) and to strengthen contacts with informants on the one hand, and with foreign experts (through active participation in international conferences), with whom she would prepare joint projects in the future.
