On 11 September, Professor Vladimíra Spilková of the Department of English and American Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of UPCE received a prestigious award from the Czech Educational Research Association for her study The Main Directions of the Transformation of Primary Education in the Czech Republic after 1989 and the Prospects for Its Future Development.
The Czech Educational Research Association, which is part of the European Educational Research Association, awards four prizes each year at its annual conference – for the best monograph, for the best study in a Czech or Slovak journal, for a study in a foreign journal (in English, German or French), and an award in the “Junior” category for young researchers.
According to the statute of the award, “Publications that receive the CAPV Award for a significant publication stand out for the quality of their research and the way it is presented, open up new research topics or bring methodological innovations”.
