Department of Literary Culture and Slavistics has developed intensive international cooperation with several partner departments at universities of Opole (Poland), of Ljubljana (Slovenia), of Plovdiv (Bulgaria), or University of Belgrade (Serbia). Many mutual visits of students and staff occured thanks to the programme Erasmus+, with our collegues from Belgrade University we published colourful monography Pozdrav milý od Polabí k jihu pílí! (2020).
Our staff members take part in research of not only scientific problems, but have also wider range of interest, like translating literary texts (novels, poetry, film and theatre dialogues etc.), writing poetry, prose, or essays.
Creative powers of our students and teachers fulfilled in editing literary journals Partonyma, and Tahy.
We organised several scientific conferences, e. g. Krajiny prostřených i prázdných stolů about history of our national gastronomy, or Sedm statečných, analysing Czech women writing after 1989.
