eng Education and Indoctrination: Phenomenological Similarities and Fundamental Differences The aim of this paper is to highlight the phenomenological similarities and fundamental differences between the concepts of "education" and "indoctrination." The paper examines indoctrinatory and manipulative efforts within compulsory curricula, student socialisation, and the education system more broadly, with a particular focus on the continued use of certain outdated methods and teaching approaches that foster student passivity. The author further explores the contrast between scientific and non-scientific approaches in teaching, particularly in the natural sciences.
