Description:
The project has been proposed as interdisciplinary, its aims are found in the fields of second language acquisition and educational sciences. This is also reflected in the composition of the research team. The project is focused on specific features of English language acquisition of Czech learners, future teachers of English, in the Czech educational context and is intended to contribute to uncovering its specific features. The project aims at identifying external and internal factors which influenced the process of learning English as a foreign language of Czech learners. This will be achieved through a complex analysis of individual language learning histories. Another project objective is to create a Czech corpus of learner English of spoken communication, to conduct a linguistic analysis of the corpus and make such a corpus available for further research use. Furthermore, the findings of the above-mentioned analyses will be interrelated.
