cze Lewis Henry Morgan a vliv jeho vztahů s indiány na jeho teoretickou činnost Lewis Henry Morgan je považován za jednoho z představitelů evolucionistické antropologie. Morgan realizoval výzkum u Irokézů. Cílem příspěvku je právě podstata vzájemného vztahu mezi Morganem a indiány a ovlivnění Morganova teoretického myšlení právě tímto specifickým vztahem. eng Lewis Henry Morgan and the influence of his relations with the Native Americans on his anthropology Lewis Henry Morgan is considered to be one of the evolutionist anthropologists with regard to his two most theoretically important works, the Systems of Consanguinity and Affinity of the Human Family (1871) and the Ancient Society (1877). According to Stocking (1987), Morgan was the father of the British Anthropology. In this paper, I would like to explain, how his relation with the Iroquois influenced Morgan´s anthropological theory. I will concentrate on the most significant study in the anthropology, to which Morgan very much contributed, i.e. to the study of kinship. I will discuss the inputs and motivations, which took Morgan to the study of the Native Americans. Lewis Henry Morgan, Haudenosaunee, Iroquois, theory, methodology, anthropology
