eng Gaps in the social and legal protection system for children – a case study of a child at risk with an exclamation mark The present paper examines the existing gaps in the social and legal protection of children by means of a case study of a child at risk. The study meticulously documents the child's progression through the system from the age of two to 18, offering a comprehensive analysis of the involvement of various institutions. It identifies risk factors associated with both the family and the social and legal protection of children system. The reflection on the case provides a detailed insight into the work of the Municipal Authorities for the Social and Legal Protection of Children (OSPOD) and other institutions, as well as proposing improvements in the coordination and effectiveness of services.
