eng	Restriction and prevention – continuum or opposites?	This paper focuses on the social and psychological contexts of human moral development. A crucial aspect of moral development is the existence of appropriate restrictions, punishments and rewards. Positive education is the foundation of prevention. The author presents four phenomena that have a negative impact on contemporary life: a generational shift in the understanding of concepts, a hedonistic focus on the present, the absence of an educational ideal, and the processes of dehumanization and desocialization.	hedonism; educational ideal; punishment; reward
