eng "No snow." Czech tourism in search of the Italian sun in the 18th-20th century. The paper focuses on the tradition of early modern and modern Czech journeys (including hiking) to Italy, especially to the Veneto region. After recalling the early modern Czech travellers, Renaissance cavaliers for whom Venice was just a stop on a religious pilgrimage to the Holy Land, it notes the changing perception of nature, landscape and urban environment in the travel literature of the Renaissance and in the diaries and travel fiction of travellers of the late 19th and 20th centuries. The core of the paper is a comparison of the records and diaries of three walking pilgrimages from Bohemia to Venice (poet Karel Hynek Mácha (1810-1836), a key figure of Czech literary Romanticism, literary scholar, translator and erudite expert on Mácha's literary works, Růžena Grebeníčková and the artist and sculptor František Skála). cestování; pěší turistika; Itálie; cesty na jih z českých zemí; 19. a 20. století; K.
