eng	Czech Musicians in the Whirlwind of European Cities	The lecture dealt with the life and work of Czech musicians, mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries, who left their homeland, worked in European metropolises and by their compositions and artistic and pedagogical activities enriched Europe with new compositional and performance approaches. Through their work and life, one can gain an insight into the German cities, such as Mannheim (J. V. Stamic, F. X. Richter, A. Fils), Mainz (J. Zach), Berlin (the Bend family), the capitals of England (J. L. Dusík), France (J. V. Stich-Punto, A. Rejcha) and Austria (J. K. Vaňhal, L. Koželuh, J. V. H. Voříšek), as well as Italian (J. Mysliveček) and Russian cities and capitals (J. A. Mareš, J. Práč, E. Nápravník). The lecture was accompanied by musical recordings.	Czech musicians; European cities; 18th and 19th centuries
