cze „Já tě žeru!“ Kanibalismus a vegetariánství v science fiction a dystopii Téma stravování a každodennosti obecně je ve výzkumu literární fantastiky zpravidla opomíjeno, přestože nám o podstatě fikčních světů (a zejména jejich vztahů s aktuálním světem) může prozradit mnohé. Například téma stravování se v některých českých (i zahraničních) fantastických prózách objevuje nejméně od první poloviny dvacátého století, kdy během studené války sloužilo jako ukazatel společensko-politické převahy jedné velmoci nad druhou. Na druhé straně se symbolika jídla (zejména masa) objevuje i v science fiction protirežimní, tedy zejména dystopické. Pomyslným vrcholem je pak dichotomické zobrazení kanibalismu a vegetariánství v díle Maso od Martina Harníčka, vydaného exilově v osmdesátých letech dvacátého století. Cílem mého příspěvku je přiblížit různé významy a symboly, které v sobě nesou témata kanibalismus a vegetariánství (či maso obecně) v tuzemské science fiction, a to s komparativním přihlédnutím k próze zahraniční. science fiction;kanibalismus;vegetariánství;maso;dějiny každodennosti;literární fantastika
eng "´ll eat you up" The symbolism of meat, cannibalism, and vegetarianism in selected examples of Czech science fiction and dystopia The topic of eating and everyday life in general is usually neglected in the study of literary fantasy, although it can reveal a lot about the essence of fictional worlds (and especially their relationship with the current world). For example, the topic of eating appears in some Czech (and foreign) fantastic prose at least since the first half of the twentieth century, when it served during the Cold War as an indicator of the socio-political superiority of one superpower over the other. On the other hand, the symbolism of food (especially meat) also appears in anti-regime science fiction, especially dystopian. The culmination is then the dichotomous depiction of cannibalism and vegetarianism in the work Maso by Martin Harníček, published in exile in the eighties of the twentieth century. The aim of my paper is to approach the various meanings and symbols that the themes of cannibalism and vegetarianism (or meat in general) carry within Czech science fiction, with a comparative look at foreign prose. science fiction;cannibalism;vegetarianism;meat;history of everyday life;speculative fiction
