eng	Forms/Ways of Addressing in Czech and German.	This sociolinguistic study deals with the ways of addressing in Czech in comparison with German. The topics of the paper include greetings when meeting/saying goodbye, being on first-name terms versus using the polite form of address, and addressing a woman Mrs. or Miss. The theoretical findings are supplemented by a questionnaire method. The question is what connotations the mentioned form of addressing has in both languages, whether the word Fräulein/ Miss has already disappeared from the vocabulary, why and how the forms of addressing differ, and to what extent social differences are reflected in both languages.
