Essays of colleagues and friends in honour of Petr Vorel	Petr Vorel is an example of a researcher for whom extra-curricular stimuli played an absolutely dominant role and inspiration came from other fields and areas of life. Through them, he entered the path of pragmatic knowledge of history, which could not be tied to any of the prevailing ideologies, methodologies or fashionable waves, but set its own direction and developed from local and regional history to national, Central European and then general history.
