eng Ceramics fragments as a testimony of long-distance contacts on the example of the east Bohemia regional center – the town of Chrudim (Czech Republic) "Chrudim was a royal town and the administrative centre of the southern half of east Bohemia during the Middle Ages and Early Modern period. Trade and long-distance contacts were supported by the city’s location on the route connecting Bohemia and Moravia and areas further east. We can prove imported ceramics from the 11th century originated in central and south Bohemia and Poland. Ceramics from north Moravia were used during the High Middle Ages. Finds originating from Germany and tin-glazed pottery of Moravian Anabaptists are documented, too. Finds of Chinese porcelain are exceptional."
