eng	Tuberculosis in Visual Communication: Posters Educating People on How to Prevent and Fight the Disease	This paper will focus on the analysis of educational posters that were used for tuberculosis prevention since the late 19th century. The author will mainly present the posters used in the Czech environment (19th century-mid 20th century), the formulation of visual communication with the lay public and its main objectives. A brief discussion will also be given to the stamps that the Masaryk League Against Tuberculosis, as the main organisation fighting the disease, regularly produced, and which also fulfilled the function of educational visual agitation. Posters of foreign provenance, which are specific in their symbolism and different purpose, will also be studied. The paper will thus show how visual communication has changed over time and what influence the cultural environment has had on its form.
