eng	The Phenomenon of Prostitution in the Interwar Košice	The presented study analyses the phenomenon of prostitution in the interwar period in Czechoslovakia on the example of the city of Košice. Attention is focused on the political-legal, social and cultural aspects of this multi-layered phenomenon. The main goal of this study is to show how state authorities fought against the prostitution in Košice; to have a closer look at the everyday life of prostitutes and to present a cultural image of the prostitution as reflected by Košice artists in the interwar period. In the study, we worked mainly with archival sources of an official character (protocols, summonses, reports, etc.), regional period prints and works of art.
