The aim of the paper was to reflect the experience of recent years in the use of stories related to the Holocaust of Roma in education at primary, secondary and university levels. The author reflected on the successes and failures of several projects and their procedures, which she had the opportunity to know (as a participant or at least as an observer). At the same time, she seeked to approach the basic framework that defines the space and ways of communication in contemporary Czech society and which activists and teachers – struggling to deepen their mutual inter-ethnic understanding through concrete stories – have to deal with.
