eng	Ways of becoming a successful midwife in the Czech lands 1850-1950	"In the last two years a research team, led by the professor Milena Lenderová, made a comprehensive analysis of obstetric diaries of Czech midwives from 19th and 20th century. Based on the preliminary outlines of the research two members of the team will introduce the main thesis regarding the patterns which were used by the midwives in the path to the economic and professional success. The presentation would be oriented not only on introducing the results of the research project, but we also want to use the conference venue to stimulate the discussion about regional and temporal differences between the different historical determinants of midwifery practice in the past across all of the conference participants.
