eng	Islam and Its Representation in the Czech Mass Media	This paper aims to investigate the issue of a legal dispute that occurred in 2014 and was reported in Czech media within the following years. It was Vladimír Sáňka ́s, the former head of Muslim community in Prague, accusation of publishing and distributing the Czech translation of the book by Bilal Philips titled The Fundamentals of Tawheed in 2012 which was believed by Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic to promote the hard core of Salafism. The respective courts were to decide whether Salafism is either a movement leading to repressing human rights and freedom, or an ideology. In fact, they faced a number of difficulties in doing so and this paper focuses on putting the questions in a different way. Thus instead of useless pilling more and more new definitions of the phenomena, it tries to draw attention to Western conceptualizing ideology and religion.
