eng	Cultural Reflection of Tuberculosis in the Czech Lands 1800-1945	The book deals with the cultural reflection of tuberculosis during the 19th and the first half of the 20th century. Its aim is to introduce this issue from different points of view. The author outlines the historical development of medical knowledge about the disease, describes the Czech scientific discourse and the reflection of tuberculosis in literature. The disease is also studied in the context of poor people and their options of treatment. Using ego-documents, the book describes everyday life in the sanatorium and personal experience with the sanatorium. From the point of view of social aspects and everyday life, the Hamza's Children's Sanatorium in Luže is analysed.
