The aim of English syntax course is to provide information about the terminology connected with the various syntactic structures of the English language and its correct application in the analysis of English texts. The whole material consists of 24 Units whose structure is identical: a) Explanation of the given terms with examples and comparison with their Czech equivalents; texts for reading, which refer to passages from several grammar books to be studied. b) PowerPoint presentations which revise the discussed topics and provide more examples. c) Questions dealing with the given subject matter.
