eng I can’t hear my own mistakes The presentation deals with the issue of students’ awareness of their mistakes. It is illustrated on the examples of recorded interviews which students were asked to consequently transcribe and correct. The attention is paid mainly to the morpho-syntactic features of the grammar used by non-native speakers (e.g. breaking the rules of concord, using incorrect verb forms, mismatching word class, creating double comparative or other wrong combinations of adjectives); the analysis is focused on the potential reasons of identifying one error and not noticing the other. spoken language; students’ mistakes; verb form; word order; comparative; negation; word class; concord
