While professionals remain reserved, the general public, namely parents of very young children, put pressure on educational institutions to create opportunities for pre-school children to learn English. However, creating conditions for very early language learning that enable potential benefits to be transformed into real gains is a challenging task to accomplish. Though there are many questions concerning the issue the trend should not be ignored by teacher education.
