eng Very Early Language Learning and English Language Teacher Education Recently there has been an observed trend to start language learning at an early age. While professionals remain reserved, the general public, namely parents of very young children, put pressure on educational institutions to create opportunities for pre-school children to learn English. However, creating conditions for very early language learning that enable potential benefits to be transformed into real gains is a challenging task to accomplish. Though there are many questions concerning the issue the trend should not be ignored by teacher education. The presentation brings forward an introductory course for future English teachers, components of which will be presented. very early language learning, English language teacher education
