Je souborem 15 statí 13 autorů, z nichž je osm zahraničních. Jsou to nejlepší příspěvky z několika odborných akcí, organizovaných editorem jak v ČR (Cefres) tak v zahraničí. Vycházejí z posunů v teorii politické kultury po vydání klasických politologických děl (Almond, Verba, Pye) v šedesátých letech 20. století, a ve většině případů aplikují tyto teoretické inovace na vysvětlení politických procesů ve střední Evropě, v Asii, Africe i Latinské Americe. Publikace vyjadřuje neuspokojení badatelů v sociokulturní antropologii, sociologii a politologii s tendencemi ke zjednodušujícímu chápání rozdílů i kontrastů v celosvětové snaze o nastolení demokracie. eng	Political culture: anthropology, sociology and politology	This book, in Czech unique by its contents and interdisciplinary orientation, results from four years of the effort of the editor and contributors to grasp the theme of political culture anew. It is a collection of 15 essays by 13 authors, eight of them foreign. They are the best contributions at several professional meetings, organised by the editor both in the Czech Republic (in collaboration with the Cefres-French Centre for Research and Study in the Social Sciences in Prague) and abroad. The authors depart from shifts in the theory of political culture since the publication of classical works by politologists (Almond, Verba, Pye) in the 1960s, and in most cases apply these theoretical innovations to explanation of political processes in Central Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. The publication expresses disssatisfaction of the researchers in sociocultural anthropology, sociology and politology with the trends towards simplifying understanding of differences and contrasts in the framework of worldwide endeavour to establish democracy.
