eng Duality of PWM Rectifiers PWM rectifiers make it possible to improve significantly the compatibility of power converter systems. The applied PWM method and control structure should fulfil the requirements for the converter output DC voltage control, converter operation with the desired power factor, elimination of the unwanted converter input current harmonics, minimum ripple of the converter output quantities, and high dynamics of the system transients. As concerns both the power circuit diagrams and performances, the current stiff rectifiers and the voltage stiff rectifiers can be considered to be dual devices. Compatibility with supply mains of these two converter types is compared. Duality, current stiff rectifier, voltage stiff rectifier, PWM control methods, harmonic spectra
