Description:
The main aim of this project is to innovate the course Visual Antropology. Within the Czech Republic, the position of the field of visual anthropology is still marginal, however the KSKA is one of the greatest promoters of this subdiscipline. Graduates of the Department 10 years ago founded the only existing international film festival focused on anthropological themes in the Czech Republic ? Antropofest. The main goal of this project is to maintain the continuity of this festival and in connection with the development of this specialization within KSKA (accreditation specializing in visual anthropology and the establishment of an audiovisual lab) to lead students to co-create a representation platform. With the participation of leading experts in visual anthropology from the Czech and Slovak Republics at the round table, it will be possible to extend the students' perspective of the course by an overview of the current state of the field in the given countries.
