We wish to invoke again the crucial question of our field of studies: How could religion be defined? What has been the context of various definitions, interpretations, and theories about it? Religious studies emerged as a discipline within the Western development of thought and has been institutionalised there, connected with philosophy, theology, history, sociology, anthropology, studies of languages, archeology, and other disciplines. Historical conditioning, presumptions and metastructures of different approaches and methods in the field has been discussed during the last decades. We invite scholars of different views and areas of interest to come and share their thoughts. Both theoretical and/or field-research based presentations are welcomed from senior scholars and posgraduates working in the field of Study of Religions.
