Paper summarizes the architectural creative work of the Czech Baroque genius Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel whose inventive work is one of the generally accepted phenomenons of European Baroque culture. Article focus attention on the Santini´s influence on architectural tradition of Central European tradition (conceptual symbolism) and its tilt toward the so-called Baroque Gothic style ? conception of art and ideas, which was an exceptional synthesis of the medieval building tradition with dynamic baroque forms (for example Baroque reconstruction of the medieval church in Sedlec by Kutná Hora and monastery church in the West Bohemian Kladruby).
