Naplňování tohoto požadavku je demonstrováno na příkladu islámu. Samotná analýza ukazuje, že navzdory kurikulárním dokumentům kladoucích důraz na toleranci a dialog, české středoškolské učebnice prezentují islám převážně negativním způsobem. Prezentace islámu je založena na běžných stereotypech jako např. utlačování žen a jejich práv, zpátečnictví v kulturách, kde převažuje islám a neschopnosti těchto kultur projít procesem sekularizace. eng	The Image of Islam in selected textbooks for Secondary Level of Education	The article deals with the problem of the extent to which selected school books fulfil the requirements of the Czech curricula for establishing positive relationships to other cultures, namely to Islam. The analysis indicates that despite the curricula requirements defining tolerance and dialogue as one of the most important goals of education, Czech school books present Islam and its culture solely in negative terms. The presentation of Islam is based on the most common stereotypes such as oppression of women rights, backwardness or inability to follow the process of secularization.
