Výzkum vychází z menšího jazykového korpusu studentů prvního ročníku na univerzitě, v programu TEFL. Kapitola prověřuje některé závěry, které vyplynuly z dřívější analýzy tohoto korpusu, ve kterých se naznačuje, že lexikální úroveň studentů není uspokojivá. Středem zájmu je především veškerá premodifikace hlavního anglického substantiva v komplexní nominální frázi – adjektiva, substantiva a anglická přítomná a minulá participia. Závěry se částečně týkají i výskytu těchto lexikálních jednotek v doplňku. Četnost výskytu jednotlivých lexikálních prvků je srovnána s výsledky zkoumání Britského korpusu, publikovanými v Longman Grammar of Spoken and Written English (Biber et al., 1999). Post-modifikace substantiv a celková komplexnost shromážděných nominálních frází byla zkoumána jen okrajově, ale přispívá rovněž k praktickému cíli předložené analýzy – zlepšit slovní zásobu českých studentů a jejich schopnost používat správně strukturované a lexikálně bohaté anglické nominální fráze .	korpus studentů; komplexní nominální fráze; hlavní substantivum; pre- a postmodifikace; pozice adjektiva; lexikální analýza; osvojování jazyka
eng	Some remarks on noun premodification in a Czech student corpus	This chapter is concerned with the assessment of the variety of lexical items in the adjective position in complex noun phrases. The research is based on a small corpus of language produced by first-year students in university TEFL programmes. The chapter revisits some conclusions drawn previously from the analysis of this corpus, where one of the outcomes was an indication that the students´ vocabulary was on an unsatisfactory level. Attention is focused mainly on the pre-modifying elements of the English head nouns in complex noun phrases – adjectives, nouns and -ing and -ed forms. The results provide partial information about their occurrence in the complement, too. The frequency of individual lexical items in the corpus is compared with the corpus findings presented in the Longman Grammar of Spoken and Written English (LGSWE), (Biber et al., 1999). Post-modification of nouns and the complexity of the noun phrases that were collected are considered only superficially, but can contribute to the intended practical goal of the analysis – to improve the vocabulary and structure of English noun phrases in the English discourse of Czech students.	learner corpus; complex noun phrase; head noun; pre- and post-modification; adjectival position; lexical analysis; language acquisition
