Německá příjmení v české společnosti jsou svědky staletého soužití dvou odlišných identit. Politická rozhodnutí vedla k tomu, že z Československa byla bývalá německá menšina v roce 1945 vysídlena (z pohledu Němců ‚vyhnána‘). Tímto se ztratila mnohá německá příjmení. Od roku 1945 několik set občanů Československa požádalo o změnu svých německých příjmení na, pro ně a společnost rozpoznatelné, "neněmecké" příjmení, při čemž původní jméno v mnoha případech zcela nezmizelo. Příspěvek prezentoval výsledky výzkumu, který se zabýval tímto fenoménem ve východočeských Pardubicích a ukázal, zda lze považovat příjmení s jednoznačným německým původem za znak identity jejího nositele.	německá příjmení, Pardubice, identita, česká společnost
eng	German Surnames in East Bohemian Pardubice as One of the Identity Signs in the Czech Society	The lecture was held within the XIII. Congress of the International Association for German Studies in Shanghai on 23rd − 30th August 2015. German surnames in the Czech society are witnesses of centuries-old coexistence of two different identities. Political decisions led to the expulsion (from the perspective of Germans ‘expelling‘) of the former German minority from Czechoslovakia in 1945. This way, many German surnames got lost. Since 1945, several hundreds of Czechoslovak citizens have requested for a change of their German surnames to, for them and the society recognizable, "non-German" ones; however, in many cases, the original name did not disappear completely. The paper presented the results of the research that dealt with this phenomenon in East Bohemian Pardubice and showed whether the surname of an unambiguous German origin could be considered as the identity sign of its bearer.
