Francie dodnes představuje nejvýznamnější cíl kabylské emigrace a stále formuje kabylské kolektivní přemýšlení o emigraci. Kabylové však již několik desetiletí emigrují i jinam, po pádu komunismu i do zemí bývalého východního bloku. Kniha se z pohledu transnacionalismu zabývá novodobou kabylskou migrací do České republiky, jejíž začátek se datuje do 90. let 20. století. Kniha je založena na intenzívním sociálně antropologickém výzkumu v Alžírsku a v České republice. Autorka přitom zkoumá vztah mezi vnímáním a prožíváním vlastní kabylské identity a migrací. Hlavním argumentem této knihy je, že způsob konstrukce současné kabylské etnické identity přímo ovlivňuje důvody, způsob, průběh migrace a život v emigraci. eng	From Algeria to the Future. Kabyle migration to the Czech Republic	Emigration from the Berberophone Kabylia region of Algeria to Europe - its form, target destination and perception – is entirely a product of the French colonization of Algeria. To this day, France represents the most significant destination for Kabyle emigration and shapes Kabyle collective thinking on emigration. The Kabyles have, however, for several decades now been emigrating to other countries than France as well, primarily to Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Italy, and following the collapse of Communism also to the former Eastern Bloc countries. This book deals with recent Kabyle migration to the Czech Republic, the onset of which dates back to the 1990s. The book is based on intensive social anthropological fieldwork carried out in Algeria and the Czech Republic. The author explores the relationship between Kabyle self-identification and migration. The main argument of this book is that the way of forming of the current Kabyle ethnic identity directly affects the reasons, form and process of migration and life in emigration.
