eng	Kurds: History, Politics, Culture	This book presents the history of the Kurds starting from their conversion to Islam in the 7th century, following on to the emergence of the term 'Kurdistan', until the creation of the Kurdish Autonomous Region in North Iraq in a way understandable for the common reader. The second part of the book discusses the traditional social organisation of households and tribes but also the modernisation process, internal conflicts and migration movements to the cities, to Western Anatolia and abroad within the Kurdish society.
