eng	Czech Racism towards Roma and Colonised Social Services	The chapter focuses on the situation of Roma in the Czech Republic in the context of discrimination and social services. Cautious comparisons are made with South African discriminatory regimes. The text shows that theories of colonisation, which have so far not been massively used for this topic, can be also useful for thinking about the context in which Czech and Slovak Roma are living. ‘Colonisations’ enable the persistence of racism, especially in its subtle forms, which will be explained through the notion of cultural racism.
