cze "Smíme vstoupit?" Etika a proměny podoby výzkumu severoamerických indiánů. Výzkum indiánů a jejich kultur byl klíčový pro formování americké antropologie. Stejně důležitou roli sehrála antropologie vůči původním obyvatelům Severní Ameriky - byla hlavním prostředkem, kterým se vytvářely a šířily textové reprezentace kulturních reálií indiánů a Inuitů. Indiáni se stali předmětem výzkumu amerických antropologů či amatérských učenců z mnoha důvodů - zejména v důsledku převládajících ideologií, politiky a jejích byrokratických potřeb. Indiáni a další původní obyvatelé geograficky různých oblastí Severní Ameriky se tak dostávali do bližšího kontaktu nejen s vědeckymi metodami výzkumu a akcentací vědeckých témat, ale i s proměňujícími se etickými zásadami výzkumníků. Studie se zabývá vývojem výzkumných témat, aplikovanou antropologií, kritikou antropologie indiánskými akademiky, etickými kodexy, akademickými obory zaměřenými na studium indiánů a dalších původních obyvatel v kontextu dekolonizace. etika;výzkum;etnografie;etnologie;antropologie;severoameričtí indiáni;metodologie

Ethics and transformations in the form of research into Native Americans The study pays attention to the formation of the research into Native Americans, as well as to the ethical issues connected not only with the ďscipline of cultural anthropology, but also of museology, archaeology, or cultural studies. The study reflects the development in the attitude to Native Americans since the second half of the 19 century. It describes the foundation of the Institute of American Ethnology' the formation of anthropology in the USA as well as the era of Franz Boas, one of its founders. It also reflects the criticism by Native American academicians. It points out the interconnection between political ideologies, relation to Indians (and all indigenous inhabitants of North America) and definition of research, most visibly especially in connection with applied anthropology. It also focuses on contemporary trends, ethical codes, and the role of the Native American and Indigenous Studies within the context of decolonization.
