Autor vycházel z rozmanité škály témat a sledoval jeho dílo protínající několik rozličných oborů. Věnuje se jak Bohrově životní a vědecké dráze, tak jeho komplementárnímu způsobu myšlení a originálnímu přístupu k různým otázkám vědy. Kromě toho je pro české čtenáře kniha doplněna šesti překlady Bohrových článků týkajících se nového porozumění fenoménu života v oblasti biologie. Publikace není koncipována jako klasický vědecký životopis nebo dějiny oboru, obsahuje některé interpretace, závěry a souvislosti, jež čtenář v takto ucelené podobě v české či zahraniční literatuře patrně nenalezne. Publikace vychází ze studia Bohrových rukopisů, korespondence, rozhovorů a stěžejní bohrovské i další původní literatury, která je v tomto rozsahu české veřejnosti prezentována poprvé. Hlavním filosoficko-metodologickým kontextem, s nímž autor interpretoval Bohrův způsob myšlení, byla Husserlova a Heideggerova fenomenologie. eng	Complementary Thinking of Niels Bohr in the Context of Physics, Philosophy and Biology	The book is the first complex and extensive publication about Niels Bohr in Czech. The author derived from a varied range of themes and followed his work crossing several diverse fields. He deals both with Bohr´s life and scientific journeys and his complementary way of thinking and original approach to various questions of science. Apart from that, the book is supplemented by six translations of Bohr´s articles concerning new understanding of the phenomenon of the living in the field of biology. The publication is not devised as a classical scientific biography or a memoir of the field, it contains some interpretations, conclusions and context which a reader is not likely to find in such a comprehensive form either in Czech or foreign literature. The publication derives from the studies of Bohr´s manuscripts, the correspondence, interviews and crucial Bohr´s and other original literature, which is presented to the Czech society and in this scope for the first time. The main philosophical-methodological context in which the author interpreted Bohr´s way of thinking was phenomenology of Husserl and Heidegger.
