eng	Relationship between Religion, Politics and Society in the First Postcommunist Decade: Czech Republic and Poland Exemple	The paper focuses on two democratic post-communist countries, the Czech Republic and Poland, and reflects the situation of churches and religious societies in times of political, ideological, and cultural change as the two countries underwent the transformation from socialism to liberalism and to democratic politics. The countries are closely related in terms of their history, culture, and language; in the past one hundred years, they both have experienced very similar political currents, such as encounter with fascism, communism, and democracy. Besides, in both countries, the Catholic Church has historically had a dominant position. However, the position of religion in both societies is rudimentary different.
